Covid 19

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming some of our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our office’s commitment to your safety. We will be reopening our office on Tuesday, May 19 th 2020 . We will be in contact with those who missed appointments during the mandated office closure and for those with future scheduled appointments.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. We follow recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members.

We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs as we know many of you are anxious to schedule dental treatment.

During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff. You will notice some changes we have made. Please understand that things are fluid and flexible and protocols may change as new guidelines emerge regarding COVID-19.

Upon scheduling an appointment, we will ask you to visit our website to review a COVID-19 prescreening questionnaire. We would like you to review this before arriving at our office. We will postpone treatment for any patient who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms withing 14 days of the scheduled appointment date: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue.

If you have pre-existing health conditions (as recommended by the CDC) such as diabetes, chronic lung disease, serious heart conditions, are immunocompromised, or chronic kidney or liver disease, we recommend that you do not visit the office until CDC guidelines change. If you fall into this category but need to accompany a child for a visit, please call our office to discuss this request.

We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patients. This does mean that we will have fewer appointments available at this time.

We ask that all patients enter the office unaccompanied, unless you are a parent accompanying a child to their appointment.

Every patient entering the office must wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entry. Your temperature will be taken with a touchless thermometer upon your arrival.

You will notice our waiting room has been rearranged to promote social distancing and that we will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since these items are difficult to disinfect.

A clear plastic screen (sneeze guard) has been installed in our reception area to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens.

Medical-grade high efficiency particulate arrestance (HEPA) air purifiers have been installed in the waiting room and treatment rooms to improve air quality for all patients and staff members.

You will be asked to rinse with an oral solution prior to being seated for treatment.

Our doctor and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE).

Thank you for being a part of our family dental practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
